3. General information about data processing
In principle, we only process your personal data as necessary to provide a functioning MONILOG web portal.
Processing of your personal data takes place regularly only to the extent necessary and within the framework of the legal provisions.
Below, we present to you the specific personal data we process.
4. 4. Your rights as a Data Subject
If your personal data is processed, you are a data subject within the meaning of the GDPR and you may exercise the following statutory rights:
- Information about your stored data and their processing (Art. 15 GDPR),
- Rectification of incorrect personal data (Art. 16 GDPR),
- Erasure of your stored data (Art. 17 GDPR). For technical reasons, this can be achieved at the earliest one month after the application for the erasure.

5. Which of your data is processed by us? For what purpose and on what legal basis?
We process a wide variety of data that you provide us with when you visit our web portal and use one of our data loggers.
In the following we present you the individual processing in a clear way.
5.1 Provision of the web portal MONILOG and creation of logfiles
Each time our web portal MONILOG is called, our system automatically collects data and information from the computer system of the caller, i.e. your computer.
The following data is collected here:
1. IP address of the user
2. Date and time of retrieval
3. Amount of received and transmitted data in bytes/s
Changes made to the system by the MONILOG administrator are stored in logfiles in order to be able to understand the current status and to ensure the functionality of the web portal. Logged will be all changes to users, when a new configuration file is uploaded and by whom, and when and who changed deployment data.
Legal basis:
The processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR based on our legitimate interest in improving the stability and functionality of our website.
Recipient:
The recipient of the data may be technical service providers who work as a processor for the operation and maintenance of the MONILOG web portal.
Storage time:
The log files are stored indefinitely as this is necessary for the error analysis. A deletion of the log files can be carried out upon request. The processing time is at least one month.
Provision prescribed or required:
The provision of the aforementioned personal data is neither legally nor contractually required. Without the IP address, however, the service and functionality of the MONILOG web portal is not guaranteed. Additionally, individual services may not be available or they may be limited.
5.2 Provision of paid services
Use of the MONILOG web portal is subjected to a charge. Therefore, additional data is requested when ordering, e.g. payment details.

The processing of the data required for the conclusion of the contract is based on Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

The recipients of the data may be processors.
Storage time:
We store this data in our systems until the legal retention periods have expired. These are generally of 10 years, for reasons of proper accounting and tax requirements.
Provision prescribed or required:
The provision of your personal data is voluntary. Without the provision of your personal data, we cannot grant you access to our content and services offered.
5.3 Evaluation of the files sent by the data loggers
The MONILOG web portal collects and stores all the data sent by your devices that are required for the presentation and evaluation of the usages. These include GPS data, the sensor modules' sync values, the status data of the data links and the sensor modules, and thus also personal data, such as the name and contact details of the person responsible for the usage.
We process this data for the purpose of economical operation of the web portal. For this purpose, the processing of data is in our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
The data can be erased upon request. A complete deletion from the system can be realized at the earliest within one month.
5.4 E-Mail contact
The e-mails you send are stored for the purpose of individual communication with you. This requires the specification of a valid e-mail address and your name. This serves to assign the request and the subsequent answering of the same. The specification of further data is optional.
Legal basis:
The processing of the data entered in the e-mail is performed on the basis of a legitimate interest (Article 6 para.1 lit. f GDPR).
Your information will be stored for the purpose of processing the request and for possible follow-up questions.
If you contact us to inquire about an offer, the processing of your transmitted data will take place for the purpose of carrying out pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 para.1 lit. b GDPR).

Storage time:
The data will be deleted at the earliest 10 years after receipt of the request. If it comes to a contractual relationship, we are subjected to the statutory retention periods according to HGB and will delete your data after the expiry of these.
Provision prescribed or required:
The provision of your personal data is voluntary. However, we can only process your request if you provide us with your name, your e-mail address and the reason for the request.
5.5 The use of cookies
We use cookies for the operation of our website. Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored by your browser on your system. We use so-called session cookies to make our website easier to use and fully functional.

5.6 The use of OpenStreetMap
This site uses the open-source mapping tool "OpenStreetMap" (OSM) via an API.
The provider is the OpenStreetMap Foundation. To use the functions of OpenStreetMap it is necessary to save your IP address. This information is usually transmitted to and stored by a server of OpenStreetMap. The provider of this page has no influence on this data transfer. The use of OpenStreetMap takes place in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offer, in particular for the presentation of the application process and the current locations of your data loggers listed in the portal in an interactive map. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.

6. SSL - encryption
To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use state-of-the-art encryption methods (SSL). You recognize such encrypted connections with the prefix https:// in the page link in the address bar of your browser. Unencrypted pages are identified by http:// .
All data transmitted to the MONILOG web portal (e.g. your login data) cannot be read by third parties due to the SSL encryption.
